Da Carlone was recommended to us by a local tour guide and we are so glad it was!!! It was the best pasta we had in Rome! We ordered two pasta dishes. Huge serving sizes and absolutely delicious. Amazing wine. Beautiful family run restaurant.

This restaurant was recommended to me by an Italian that has been living in Rome for 10 years. The quantity of the food is huge!!!!! For the price of one also the interior is amazing. There was a guy playing the guitar and singing. However, my vegetarian friend asked them to remove the meat from a dish and he said that its already in the mix which is understandable so she went ahead and ordered a vegetarian option. Overall the vibes are top I would highly recommend.

We always come here when in Rome. The portions are HUGE and delicious. Keep in mind that this is a LOCAL place. Each time we come here there is a different daily dessert. All great. Service is good too! The owner is very friendly, and his wife is the chef. Make sure to make a reservation in advance, as this place does get busy. My personal recommendation is the Carbonara.

It takes a while to get your food but it's well worth it. Each plate is enough for 2. We ordered Carbonara, caccio e pepe, matriciana. Excellent!

Amazing mouthwatering pasta dishes! This place is the BEST we had in Rome. Carbonara is out of this world delicious…creamy yummy tasty goodness. We ordered a tomato based pasta dish but unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the dish, all the ingredients had a fresh flavor burst. The owner is the nicest funniest older fellow. We had a blast at his restaurant! We tried to get back here for another round of delicious food but unfortunately we ran out of time on our vacation. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Rome!

What a lovely, family run restaurant. The staff was fantastic making recommendations, speaking both Italian and English. They were also so kind, no language barrier could hinder this wonderful experience. As many may have heard, the food in Rome has become very touristy but not at Da Carlone. This was the best meal we had. The plates are large the food is flavorful...I wanted to go back but didn't have time. The restaurant is off of a side street which I liked. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for the wonderful experience Da Carlone!
